ناشد الكاتب والمفكر السياسي المصري محمد حسنين هيكل القوات المسلحة لقاء الشعب كي يتنفس بحرية، وقال إن الحكم يريد -بغريزة وحش جريح- الانتقام، ولا يبالي بحدوث فتنة كبرى. واقترح هيكل جملة من الإجراءات للخروج من المأزق، أهمها خروج مبارك من رئاسة الدولة.
