دعا الرئيس الفرنسي إلى عملية انتقال حقيقية للسلطة بمصر، في ثامن أيام الاحتجاجات ضد نظام الرئيس حسني مبارك. وشدد رئيس الوزراء البريطاني ديفد كاميرون على سرعة العملية، في حين أبدت المفوضية الأوروبية استعدادها لدعم المصريين في إنجازها.
