أصدر الجيش المصري تحذيرات شديدة اللهجة, وقال إنه سيتعامل بقسوة مع الخارجين على القانون. جاء ذلك بينما تحدى مئات الآلاف من المصريين قرار حظر التجول الذي بدأ على الورق فقط في الرابعة عصرا بتوقيت القاهرة. ورفض المتظاهرون تعيين عمر سليمان نائبا للرئيس.
