تسببت الفيضانات التي تجتاح أستراليا والبرازيل وغيرها من الدول في مختلف قارات العالم في خسائر بشرية ومادية كبيرة، وأعلنت السلطات البرازيلية أن عدد الوفيات يقارب الألف، إضافة إلى مئات المفقودين.
