أكد وزير النفط الإيراني أن بلاده ستحقق الاكتفاء الذاتي من البنزين في وقت لاحق من العام الجاري بحيث لا تعتمد على الواردات ولا على الوقود المنتج بمصانع البتروكيماويات، مشيرا إلى أن طهران ستبدأ تدشين محطة تكرير جديدة شهريا بدءا من الشهر المقبل.
