وصل إلى دمشق اليوم السفير الأميركي الجديد روبرت فورد لتسلم مهماته كسفير لبلاده في العاصمة السورية بعد فراغ في المنصب دام نحو ستة أعوام بسبب تردي العلاقات الثنائية بعد اغتيال رئيس الوزراء اللبناني الأسبق رفيق الحريري واستدعاء واشنطن سفيرتها مارغريت سكوبي.
