أفادت صحيفة أميركية أن بنك أوف أميركا شكل فريقا كبيرا لإجراء تحقيق داخلي واسع لبحث احتمال حدوث أية اختراقات لأنظمته بعدما هدد مؤسس موقع ويكيليكس، جوليان أسانج، بفضح المصرف رداً على قرار الأخير تعليق كل التحويلات المرسلة إلى الموقع.
