ذكرت صحيفة ديلي تلغراف البريطانية أن السفير الأميركي لدى الصين، الجمهوري جون هانتسمان، ألمح إلى احتمال ترشيح نفسه لخوض الانتخابات الرئاسية لعام 2012، منافسا بذلك الرئيس الحالي باراك أوباما الذي قد يترشح ثانية.
