احتفى اليمن بالأديب الراحل علي أحمد باكثير تزامنا مع ذكرى ميلاده المائة، وعبر الاحتفاء عن العرفان لدور هذه الشخصية الفريدة في الساحتين العربية والإسلامية. ونظمت فعاليات ثقافية بارزة بهذه المناسبة، فعقدت ندوة علمية عالمية وأوصى المشاركون باستحداث جائزة وطنية تحمل اسم باكثير.
