قالت مجلة تايم الأميركية إن حزب الله اللبناني الشيعي يخشى التعرض لهجمات من جانب متطرفين لبناينين سنة على نمط الهجمات التي يشنها تنظيم القاعدة، وإن عناصر مسلحة من الحزب تتخذ إجراءات أمنية مشددة في الضاحية الجنوبية من بيروت حيث معاقله.
