أظهر استطلاع للرأي أجراه مركز بيو هيسبانيك أن نحو ثلثي اللاتينيين في الولايات المتحدة يعتقدون بأنهم يتعرضون للتمييز، وترى أغلبية أن ردود الفعل العنيفة بسبب الهجرة غير الشرعية هي المحرك الرئيسي لمثل هذا التحيز.
