يستعيد الجزائريون هذا العام ذكرى مجازر 17 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 1961 وسط ظروف خاصة، حيث تتواصل مطالب الجزائريين لفرنسا بالاعتذار عن الحقبة الاستعمارية.
