ألقى ارتفاع سعر الطماطم بظلاله على غالبية المواطنين بالأردن، فبينما أرجع مسؤول أردني ذلك إلى الحرارة التي أصابت المنطقة ورفعت السعر إضافة لحشرة الحفار، قال مراقبون إن التصدير إلى الخارج ورفع التجار المحليين لهامش ربحهم إلى 300% وراء تفاقم المشكلة.
