قال الإمام الذي يقف وراء مشروع بناء مركز ثقافي إسلامي قرب موقع هجمات سبتمبر/أيلول في نيويورك إنه يسعى لإيجاد مخرج للأزمة التي أحدثتها معارضة كثير من الأميركيين للمشروع، دون أن يوضح ما إذا كان ذلك يتضمن نقل المشروع من موقعه الحالي.
