أعلنت حركة حماس استشهاد قيادي بكتائب عز الدين القسام الجناح العسكري للحركة وجرح فلسطينيين آخرين في غارات عسكرية إسرائيلية على مواقع بجنوب قطاع غزة. وكانت مصادر فلسطينية ذكرت أن الطواقم الطبية عثرت على جثة عيسى البطران بعد قصف إسرائيلي لموقع أمني بالقطاع.
