قال مسؤولون أميركيون إن ضابط استخبارات بالجيش قيد الاعتقال في إطار تحقيق بتسريب أكثر من تسعين ألف وثيقة عسكرية سرية، في حين قال جوزيف بايدن نائب الرئيس الأميركي إن هدف القوات الأميركية بأفغانستان هزيمة القاعدة وليس إقامة ديمقراطية وبناء أمة.
