أعربت اللجنة المنظمة لأولمبياد الشباب الأول بسنغافورة عن أملها بمشاركة الكويت في تلك المنافسات الشهر المقبل تحت علمها الوطني وليس الأولمبي. وناشدت اللجنة أمير الكويت الشيخ صباح الأحمد معالجة المشكلة الرياضية بالبلاد لتمكين الرياضيين الكويتيين من المشاركة تحت علمهم الوطني.
