يؤكد هويدي مصر أمامها شوط طويل لكي تستعيد دورها وحيويتها، ويرى أنها باتت بحاجة لأن تخوض حرب تحرير سياسية، تتحدى فيها أقدارا رسمها لها آخرون، وبدون ذلك لن يبقى الرأس رأسا, ولن يرجع إلى مكانه فوق الجسم العربي.. فمصر هي المشكلة والحل.
