دافعت عضوة الكنيست عن حزب كاديما مرينا سولودكين عن مشروع قانون تقدمت به لحظر النقاب في إسرائيل, معتبرة أن النقاب يمكن أن يشكل خطرا أمنيا. وردا على ذلك, وصف النائب العربي بالكنيست مسعود غنايم الخطوة بأنها تقليد ببغائي لما يجري في أوروبا.
