استقبل الرئيس المصري حسنى مبارك كلا من رئيس الكونغو الديمقراطية جوزيف كابيلا ورئيس الوزراء الكيني رايلا أودينغا، حيث تركزت المباحثات على ملف حوض النيل. وقال المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية إن كينيا أكدت أنها لا يمكن أن تضر بالمصالح المائية لمصر.
