لم يبق أمام صيادي رفح بقطاع غزة سوى البحث عن عمل آخر بعدما توقفوا عن الصيد بشكل شبه تام نتيجة منعهم من الدخول في عمق البحر من قبل البحرية الإسرائيلية، وتزايد الانتهاكات المصرية بحقهم وإتلاف جزء كبير من معداتهم والاعتداء عليهم.
