تباينت آراء محللين سياسيين سودانيين بشأن إمكانية قضاء الحكومة السودانية على حركة العدل والمساواة نهائيا في دارفور بعد تعرضها لضربات موجعة، فبينما استبعد بعضهم ذلك، توقع البعض الآخر إمكانية تجاوز الحركة بعد حسمها في الميدان العسكري.
