نفى وزير الدفاع اللبناني إلياس المر, إمكانية أن تكون صواريخ سكود قد دخلت إلى لبنان عبر سوريا ووصلت إلى حزب الله, وأكد أن تلك الادعاءات غير صحيحة بالاستناد إلى الجيش اللبناني ومخابراته.
