وجد علماء أن ممارسة الحامل بانتظام التمارين البدنية التنفسية المعتدلة الكثافة أثناء الحمل أدت لانخفاض محدود بوزن الطفل عند الولادة، دون أن تخفض مقاومة الأمهات للأنسولين، وما ينتج عن انخفاضها من تقييد حاد لتغذية الجنين، بحسب خدمة يوريكأليرت.
