أثار تمثال ضخم بلغت كلفته نحو 28 مليون دولار تنوي السلطات السنغالية تدشينه اليوم في احتفال ضخم، احتجاجات وانتقادات، وقال معارضون له إنه مضيعة للمال، في حين اعتبره عالم دين مسلم "تمثالا للعار".
