وافقت الجامعة العربية على إعطاء فرصة مدتها أربعة أشهر لمبادرة أميركية بإجراء مفاوضات فلسطينية إسرائيلية غير مباشرة. جاء ذلك في تصريح لكبير المفاوضين الفلسطينيين صائب عريقات, عقب اجتماع للجنة المتابعة العربية بالقاهرة.
