بدأ المبعوث الأميركي ريتشارد هولبروك زيارة إلى إسلام آباد الخميس حيث بحث مع قادة في الحكومة الباكستانية عدة ملفات أمنية. جاءت الزيارة بعد يومين من اعتقال القائد العسكري لحركة طالبان الأفغانية في باكستان الملا عبد الغني برادر.
